Welcome to the new website and online shop! Sami Dolls

It is finally here! The new website and online shop are live!

Over the last month and a bit I took a crash course in website and online shop making and created the new website. It was a very steep learning curve and I still have a lot to learn, but I am happy with the result.
From now on there is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for everything Sami Dolls.
No more searching around YouTube for the right video, on the website you can watch the videos and find the link to the matching pattern next to it.
No more jumping between the blog, the Etsy Shop and Youtube, as you can find everything in one place: on https://www.samidolls.com
No more losing your pattern or your past patterns, as you can now access all your past and present downloads in the ‘My account’ section and re-download your orders, even if you purchased them a long time ago.

I hope you will like the new website. I made a video introducing the new website, which also includes a Coupon Code for 20% off on the website as a ‘Grand Opening’ Special 🙂

New outfit for 18″ dolls

I am excited to share this new clothes set pattern with you 🙂

Do you need a new outfit for your 18″ doll?

While designing my new AMELIE foll pattern, that has the same proportions as American Girl, Our Generation etc., I also made up this new pattern for 18″ dolls.
If you already purchased the Amelie pattern, you already have this clothing set pattern, but if you don’t want to make the doll and only want to sew a new lovely outfit for your 18″ doll, this pattern is for you.

New 18″ Doll Pattern: AMELIE

The reason I have been in hiding for the last month: The Amelie Pattern 🙂

The new AMELIE pattern is out!

I can finally let you know the reason I have been so quiet lately: I have been working on a cloth doll pattern with similar proportions to a lot of 18″ dolls out there. And here she is: AMELIE!

She can swap clothes with dolls like American Girl, Götz, Our Generation etc.

Let me know if you would like me to make a boy pattern as well. I also want to make a baby doll in Bitty Baby proportions and a smaller sister to Amelie with Wellie WIsher proportions.

Sadly (and happily, as it is fun), it takes a lot of time to create a pattern like this, from the drafting phase, to the designing phase, then the filming, editing and writing phase. I always underestimate how long it takes. But I don’t want to rush, as I want to offer you my best work possible.

This was such an amazing and fun pattern to create and I am looking forward to making the next doll patterns, so I can start designing plenty of clothes patterns for them in the months to come.

New and improved Petal Pouch Pattern

A new pattern and video tutorial is out!

The petal pouch pattern was the first pattern I ever published several years ago. I felt like sewing a few more petal pouches and thought it might be fun to remake and improve it. I also filmed a video tutorial for it.

I think it would be a fun little gift for a little girl or even a nice evening bag if made from classy, shiny, sparkly fabrics.
