Ein neuer Monat, ein neues Freebook. Jippieh!

Diesen Monat wollte ich ein einfaches und schnell zu nähendes Projekt herausbringen, das auch für Nähanfänger geeignet ist.
Ich hoffe es gefällt euch.
Das Schnittmuster passt American Girl und Wellie Wisher Puppen, aber man kann es natürlich auch für andere Puppen anpassen.

Ich arbeite immer noch an neuen Videos für die Nähanfänger Serie und werde sie hochladen, wenn sie gefilmt und bearbeitet sind und dann werde ich an einem Schnittmuster für eine größere Babypuppe arbeiten.

Another month, another free pattern. Yay! 🙂

This month I wanted to offer a very easy and quick pattern that even sewing beginners can make. I hope you will like it.
The pattern pieces are suitable for American Girl and Wellie Wisher dolls but you can, of course, adjust them to suit your doll.

I am still working on the beginner sewing series and will be adding new videos as I film and edit them and I will be working on a larger baby doll pattern soon. I am very excited for that.

Hier geht’s zur Facebook Gruppe und zu all meinen Freebooks.

Über die letzten Tage und Wochen habe ich an einer Videoserie für Nähanfänger gewerkelt.

Ich habe unter einem meiner Videos die Anfrage bekommen bestimmte Nähbegriffe wie ‘Absteppen’, ‘Untersteppen’, ‘Nahtzugabe’ etc. zu erklären und habe micr gedacht, dass ich daraus doch eine ganze Nähserie machen kann.
Ich hoffe, dass alle Fragen darin beantwortet werden, so dass man mit Freude und Leichtigkeit all meine Schnittmuster nähen kann.

Ich habe auch von einer Zuschauerin gehört, die keine Social Media Accounts hat und von daher keinen Zugang zu den Freebooks in der Facebook Gruppe hat.
Falls es dir genauso geht, sag mir doch bescheid, dann kann ich überlegen, ob ich die Freebooks auch woanders zugänglich machen kann.

For the past weeks I have been working on a sewing series for beginners.

I received a request on one of my videos to please explain certain techniques like top stitching, under stitching, seam allowance etc. and I thought I’d take the opportunity to make a sewing basics series that hopefully touches on every topic necessary to follow all of my patterns with ease and fun.

The first 3 videos of the series are now out on YOUTUBE and I am working on more videos as we speak. They will be added one by one and if you have any requests for topics I could add, please let me know (theresa [at] samidolls [dot] com)

I received a message from a viewer who is not on Facebook and was disappointed that I started uploading all my Freebooks in my Facebook Groups exclusively. She does not have any social media account and therefore has no access to them.

If there are others in a similar situation and you would prefer for me to upload the patterns on a different platform, let me know.
I am also happy to email the pattern to you if you shoot me a message.

Das Freebie des Monats August 2016 ist hier!

EIn Utensilo mit Trennwänden.
Ich wollte unbedingt einen Stoffkorbeinsatz mit Trennwänden, damit ich meine Nähutensilien besser organisieren kann und habe dieses kleine Utensilo Schnittmuster zusammengebastelt.
Man kann es natürlich auch unabhängig von dem Stoffkorb, vielleicht als Geschenkkorb oder Spielzeugkörbchen benutzen.
Ich hoffe dir gefällt es auch.

The FREEBIE OF THE MONTH for August 2016 is this lovely storage basket with dividers that fts inside the fabric basket from last month’s free pattern.
I really wanted a basket with dividers, so I can have several compartments for my sewing basket, and I came up with this little tutorial. You don’t have to use it as thr fabric basket insert. I am sure it will also make a nice gift basket, toy basket etc.

The video tutorial for the storage basket is here and from now on all my free patterns will be available for download in the ‘Files’ section in the Sami Facebook group. You will have to send a join request and once you are in, you can browse the group and download the patterns.

Kannst du dich noch an das Kimonkleid erinnern, das cih vor einiger Zeit für mich selber genäht habe? Es wurde gewünscht, dass es davon eine Puppenversion als Schnittmuster geben wird. Und nun freue ich mich ankündigen zu können, dass der Schnitt fertig ist.

Es ist in den 6 Sami Puppengrößen erhältlich und auch in der American Girl Größe. Man kann das Oberteilentweder füttern oder mit einem Schrägband versäumen.

Ich stelle mir immer vor, dass ich mal so eben ein neues Schnittmuster erfinden kann, aber es dauert dann immer doch viiiiel länger als ich mir vorstelle. Designen, Probenähen, Schnitteile anpassen, wieder Probenähen, filmen, Fotos machen, Fotos und Videos bearbeiten, Anleitung schreiben (in 2 Sprachen)… haha, du weißt was ich meine 🙂

Ich hoffe der Schnitt gefällt dir. Es macht echt Spaß dieses Kleid zu nähen.

Wie du vielleicht bemerkt hast, vermehren sich die American Girl Puppen hier immer mehr. Daher wird es immer mehr Schnitte für sie hier geben und es gibt bestimmt auch noch ein paar mehr Unboxing Videos bald 🙂

Ich habe so viele neue Ideen für die Zukunft und ich hoffe, dass du dabei sein wirst.

Do you remember the Kimono dress I made for myself a while ago? I received a request to make a doll pattern like it and now I am happy to announce that the pattern is available.

It comes in all 6 Sami Doll sizes and the American Girl size and is available with a lined bodice or a bias bound hem.

I always think I can just whip up a pattern and offer it soon after, but it always takes me longer than I expect 🙂 Designing, test sewing, adjusting, test sewing again, filming, editing, taking pictures, editing the pictures, designing the cover, the thumbnails for the videos, writing descriptions, instructions etc. haha… you get the idea 🙂

I hope you will like the pattern. It is a really fun and manageable project.

As you may have noticed, my love for American Girl dolls is slowly taking over my life, so the pattern is available in this size as well, of course. I predict a few more unboxing videos in the future 😉

I have a lot more exciting projects in the works. I hope you will be along for the ride.
